Where to get your Christmas Feast in Hillcrest Village
Christmas is less than a week away, and we could not be more excited! The lights are hung, there are presents under the Christmas tree, and plans are made for a big Christmas feast.
What’s that? You’re hosting a Christmas dinner and you haven’t planned the menu yet? Worry less – you can get everything you need for the best Christmas feast ever right in your neighbourhood.
Obviously, our number one stop for meat is right next door at Roast Butchers. We suggest calling in your order ASAP to avoid missing out, but they should be able to help you out with whatever meat/cut you’re looking for. Their impressive array of ready made sides, and mains will also help dress your table up.
After dinner, it’s time for dessert and/or coffee. And what goes best with some coffee, tea or hot chocolate? Scones, of course! Baker & Scone has special holiday hours, but they’re also taking scone orders on their closed days (i.e Christmas Day!). Their holiday flavours include Triple Gingerbread, Chai Gingerbread, Double Cranberry Orange and a handful of others. You can also get some goodies from Emma’s Country Kitchen (it’s closed from December 24th until January 1st) that you can bake at home yourself. Try the chocolate mint-chocolate chip bake-at-home cookies – SO good!
You don’t have to go all the way with the traditional Christmas dinner route this year, why not cater from Pukka? A few Indian dishes at your feast will definitely impress your guests. We don’t know anyone who would turn down a mean butter chicken!
A dinner table is incomplete without some bread or dinner rolls, and luckily for us Pain Perdu is just a quick walk away. Be sure to call them and inquire about their holiday hours, but from our experience freezing some bread and letting it thaw out when needed has always worked out great. Their quiches are also to die for!
Well, those are some of our best tips for you to plan your holiday feast next week! Let us know how it goes!
