The Rockport Group
We’ve told you a little about The Nest, the neighbourhood it’s in, the amenities but now we want to share with you a little information about the developer behind The Nest, The Rockport Group.
The Rockport Group has over 55 years of experience building great residential communities, with many of them being mid-rise like The Nest. Across Ontario, The Rockport Group has developed/constructed over 20,000 residential and retirement units/suites.
If you want to see some examples of their mid-rise condominiums, check out sold our projects The Ridgewood II in Aurora and Twenty One Clairtrell at Bayview and Sheppard. The Ridgewood II is a resort-style condominium resembling a Parisian chateau. Like The Nest, it has several green features like high efficiency gas boilers and a tri-sorter garbage chute system. Then there’s Twenty One Clairtrell, 7 storeys high with 128 units, and a much needed alternative to the many high rises along Sheppard Avenue. Every suite has a terrace, a generous-sized balcony or a patio – similar to the units at The Nest.
The Rockport Group is comprised of dynamic and talented professionals – Founder Burton Winberg, who is now retired, has over 60 years of real estate and enterprise experience and was recently inducted to the BILD Homebuilders Hall of Fame. CEO Jack Winberg, who came to The Rockport Group with years of experience in land use and development law, now holds the reins at the company. The third member of the senior team is David Scott who manages the construction activity at The Rockport Group – he has years of experience in building both high rises and mid rises.
The Rockport Group believes in professionalism and quality, and if you don’t believe us just ask anyone living in past projects!
