Salsa on St. Clair
We’ve been counting down the days until this weekend for quite some time now, and now we can finally say that the 10th Annual Salsa On St. Clair (July 19 – July 20) is only a few sleeps away!
For those who don’t know, Salsa On St. Clair is Toronto’s hottest street festival that brings in hundreds of thousands of salsa lovers every year (yes, that many!). This year, Salsa in Toronto was on for 8 days and the official Salsa on St. Clair festival is the perfect way to end the week of parties.
If you can’t salsa, don’t worry! There will be dance lessons, Latin food, and fun for the family all weekend long. We’re very excited with this year’s program: zumba-ing with Zumba Pa’ca, jamming to Lula All Stars, and of course watching the TD Dancers do their thing on the main stage! Going on from Bathurst Street to Winona Drive along St. Clair Avenue West, there’s definitely a spot that’s calling your name, and we think that spot is right outside our Presentation Centre at 784 St. Clair Ave W. Last year we were right in front of the main stage and we’ll be right there again – we’ll all have The Nest shirts on so be sure to come say hi and maybe we’ll even do a little salsa with you!
Oh, and how could we forget about the food? Empanadas, pupusas, tamales and churros galore. We’re getting hungry just thinking about all the different foods we’re going to devour this weekend!
And the best part about Salsa On St. Clair? It takes place in Hillcrest Village!
Just a quick note that St. Clair Ave. West will be closed from Winona to Christie to all forms of transit all day Saturday, July 19th and Sunday, July 20th to make the festival safe for everyone. That said, there is plenty of municipal parking lots within walking distance of the festival!
